ਅੱਜ ਤੇਰੀ ਯਾਦ ਦਾ ਆਖਰੀ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ

ਅੱਜ ਤੇਰੀ ਯਾਦ ਦਾ ਆਖਰੀ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ,

ਅੱਜ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਣਾ ਹੈ,

ਤੇਰੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਲਂਘਾ ਲਏ,

ਤੇਰੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਅੱਥਰੂ ਵਹਾ ਲਏ ,

ਪਰ ਅਫਸੋਸ! ਓਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਖਿਆਲ ਹੀ ਨਹੀ,

ਓਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਬਾ ਖਾਤਿਰ ,,

ਸੂਰਜ ਦੇ ਉੱਠਨ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਠ ਖੜਦਾ ਸੀ,

ਓਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਨਾਭੀ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਲਈ ,,

ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਧੁੱਪ ਵਿਚ ਸੜਦਾ ਸੀ,,

ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਓਹ ਕਠੋਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਭੁਲਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ,

ਹਾਂ! ਮੈਂ ਫਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਓਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ,

ਤੇਰੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਲਂਘਾ ਲਏ,

ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਤੇਰੀ ਯਾਦ ਦਾ ਆਖਰੀ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ,

ਅੱਜ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਣਾ ਹੈ,

ਪਰ ਅਫਸੋਸ! ਇਹ ਦਿਨ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਭੁੱਲੇਗਾ ???

ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੇਰੀ ਯਾਦ ਦਾ ਆਖਰੀ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ??
