Recently compeleted hockey stadium of international level was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Punjab S. Parkash Singh Badal last week in Mohali. The stadium is located adjacent to Punjab Cricket Association's international Cricket Stadium.

The Stadium boasts of facilties of international level and floodlights. It has a capacity of 13500 spectators with each block having Chairs for seating. The stadium has a blue astroturf same as it was used in London Olympics 2012. The stadium will give a major boost to hockey in Punjab and development of aspiring hockey players from punjab. The state of hockey is bound to improve if more hockey stadium of such infrastructure will be constructed in other cities of punjab as the promised by Government of Punjab.
