ਨੱਨ੍ਹਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ (ਕਵਿਤਾ)

ਉਹ ਸੁਣ-ਸਾਣ ਰਾਹਾਂ

ਇੱਕ ਲੰਮਾ ਪੈਂਡਾ,

ਤੁਰਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ।

ਸਰਦੀ ਅੱਤ ਦੀ ਕਦੀ

ਦੁਪਹਿਰਾਂ ਜੇਠ-ਹਾੜ ਦੀਆਂ,

ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਲੂਹੰਦਾ ਪਿੰਡਾ ।

ਵਿਰਲਾ-ਵਾਂਝਾ ਲੰਘੇ

ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਪੁਛੇ ਮੈਥੋਂ,

ਕੀ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ।

ਆ ਵੈਰਾਣ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ

ਬਣਿਆ ਰਾਖ ਦੀ ਢੇਰੀ,

ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਮੁੱਕਾ ਚੱਲਿਆ ।

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਾਏ (ਪਾਲੀ)

ਉਹ ਸੁਣ-ਸਾਣ ਰਾਹਾਂ

ਇੱਕ ਲੰਮਾ ਪੈਂਡਾ,

ਤੁਰਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ।

ਸਰਦੀ ਅੱਤ ਦੀ ਕਦੀ

ਦੁਪਹਿਰਾਂ ਜੇਠ-ਹਾੜ ਦੀਆਂ,

ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਲੂਹੰਦਾ ਪਿੰਡਾ ।

ਵਿਰਲਾ-ਵਾਂਝਾ ਲੰਘੇ

ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਪੁਛੇ ਮੈਥੋਂ,

ਕੀ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ।

ਆ ਵੈਰਾਣ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ

ਬਣਿਆ ਰਾਖ ਦੀ ਢੇਰੀ,

ਇਹ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਮੁੱਕਾ ਚੱਲਿਆ ।
