ਜਿਹੜੇ ਘਰ ਆਵਣ ਧੀਆਂ
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਘਰ ਆਵਣ ਧੀਆਂ,
ਭਾਗ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਵਣ ਧੀਆਂ,
ਸੁੰਨ ਮੁਸੰਨਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਵਿਹੜਾ,
ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਣ ਧੀਆਂ।
ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਦੁੱਖ ਵੰਡਾਵਣ,
ਜਾਇਦਾਦਾ ਨਾ ਵੰਡਾਵਣ ਧੀਆਂ,
ਪੁੱਤਾਂ ਨਾਲੋ ਵੱਧਕੇ ਨੇ ਇਹ,
ਫਿਰ ਕਿਓਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਅਖਵਾਵਣ ਧੀਆਂ
