ਟਿੱਬਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਉੱਗੀ ਬੇਰੀ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਕੋਈ ਖਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
ਕੰਡੇ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਵਣ ਪੱਥਰ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਚਲਾਂਦਾ।

ਮੇਰੇ ਟੁੱਟੇ ਦਿਲ ਦਾ ਹਾਲ ਉਸ ਬੇਰੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਤਨਹਾ ਤਨਹਾ
ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਬੀਤੇ ਨਾ ਚੁੱਪ ਦਾ ਲਮਹਾ।

ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਹੜੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਗ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਦਗਾ ਕਮਾਇਆ
ਬਿਰਹੋਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੁੱਝੀਆਂ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਦੇਕੇ ਛੱਡ ਗਏ ਰੇਗਸਤਾਨੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਹਾਇਆ।

ਅੱਖਾਂ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਖਾਰਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਹਰ ਵਕਤ ਵਗਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ
ਸੁੱਧ ਨਾ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਵਜੂਦ ਦੀ ਮਨ ਯਾਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਚਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ।

ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਗ਼ਮ ਗਲਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪਿਆਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਥੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ
ਪਰ ਏਸ ਫ਼ਰੇਬੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਨੇ ਪੀੜ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਭੜਕਾਇਆ।

ਰੋਗ ਕਸੂਤਾ ਬਿਰਹੋਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਘੁਣ ਵਾਂਗੂ ਖਾਵੇ
ਦੋਸਤ ਤਾਂ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਬਣੇ ਹੁਣ ਜ਼ਖਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੱਲ੍ਹਮ ਕੌਣ ਲਾਵੇ?

ਇਹ ਰੋਗ ਉੱਤਰਨਾ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਜਿੱਦਣ ਅਰਥੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰੋਂ ਜਾਣੀ
ਗ਼ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਾਰ ਹੌਲਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਖੱਫ਼ਣ ਦੀ ਚਾਦਰ ਤਾਣੀ।

ਇੱਕ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਜੋ ਚਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਲਾਏ
ਪੁੱਛ ਲੈਣਾਂ ਖੱਲ ਦੀ ਜੁੱਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਏ।

 I heard this one fom my Grandfather when i was 4 or 5 and still remember it by heart and its one of my favourites. Some background... it was written by someone in 1926... i don't know whether its in some book or not?

here i go....

" San chati vich daleri de,

ik mein ve degree pai c,

chakki ohle choi(rat)  bethi,

kur kur noon chabai c,

okar ke mein vekhan laga,

bhaj ke mere wal ai c,

mein kiti raam duhai c,

marjane gwandi na ae,
