As you know that these days the preachers of our relegion mis-interperet the meaning of Dharam...To them{exceptions are always there} relegion is to be only a sikh/singh, only a hindu,only a muslim,,,,, one who is not tubanator is not sikh, one not believing in scriptures is not hindu and many more such excuses....So, my question is What is RELEGION? What are its norms? What a human being is supposed to do to become a THEIST? Who is ATHEIST? Is to born in one relegion and not in other is a matter of privilage/shame? Do we need to move ahead as part of relegion or as a voice of humanity? Why HUMANITY is not the relegion? This topic is not ANTI-RELEGION but it is VOICE AGAINST THOSE WHO ARE DIVINDING THE HUMAN RACE ON THE DISTINCTION OF BEING BORN IN A RELEGION....Lets share our veiws on this topic....

time and again i have always raised my voice amongst my friend against these philosophies that differentiates ppl on the bases of religion n castes...

agreed with u two.rigidity n orthodoxy in anything leads to stagnation. castism,religiosity,decline in morality n value system,etc are d root cause of all evils inflicting our society.

Only an individual knows what he feels about the religion he follows whether it is a named religion or his own conception. To me, a religion that makes you feel you are above or below others, is a business. A true religion will teach you to look at all at par.

There is another aspect and a very important one, that is, of spirituality. Religion, when thought with logic alone, it makes the things rigid and dull. Spirituality adds gaiety, calmness, love and faith to one's life.

If you have a conception to follow and you are ready to be responsible for your actions as per that, then that is a good religion for you, and if you think you need some mentor to look upon, go and find one. Even blind faith in a religion is fine provided whom you are counting upon should have eyes that can rationalize and differentiate between good/bad, right/wrong and a life led as a disciple in such a religion will always make you the best of the creation - a true human being. That is essence of any religion.

Inside, we all feel the same. We all like the movie RANG DE BASANTI where the guys fight for humanity forgetting all differences of religion. Something taught that to them to unite. That comes from inner self that is again made up of what we have learnt from home, society and faith. Humanity is the biggest religion because this is to what all of us can relate. And wherever you can learn humanity, is the best place and the best faith for you. But even faith needs to be inculcated. It is not something to be stagnant.

The need is to implement things in life and turn the words that we hear and speak into actions. This is the best one can do and at the time ia looks the most difficult thing in the world, as well.

parminder ji you rightly said that there is need of implementation..... see what is happening here in punjab.... relegion which is synonym of peace n purity is being used by so called followers as medium of agony and revenge..... it is a very sad day in the history of humanism.... we need to understand the root meaning of the word relegion...it simply signifies- love, brotherhood, peace, calmness, acceptance, realistic..... it is a path to reach salvation....but this kind of path as seen today ll take us no where.....
