religion or dharam is always an interesting topic to discuss but usually I do not like to discuss it as sometime u can hurt someones sentiments. First I think we should understand the meaning of Dharam it means to do wt u r meant to do.  like agani da da dharam raushani te garmi hai.  if it does not have quality then we cannot say it is fire.  Similarly if we do not have certain qualities we cannot be called human beings or if we do not have humanity we r not human being.  Rigidness in religion started to give discipline in that organization.  Like I Jesus said that even if u think to hurt someone u had committed the crime. but we cannot develop that nature in one day First we think to hurt but stop our hand.  Slowly slowly we will develop into a heart which did not think of hurting someone (Im tlking about very idealistic thing jisnu Jesus like in chiristanity keha hai, Yogi in hinduism keha hai brahmgiani in Sikhism keha hai) All religions want us reach same level of perfection but different names.  But with time the selfish or stupid people added the things which they wanted. Or sometimes we forget what were the actual reason behind certain things/rituals  they were started to make us strong.  So before concluding that any religion is good or bad ask logical question get the reasoning why???  About so many religion, I still remember Vivekananda's answer to a question.  Someone asked him why there are so many deities in Hinduism.  He replied so that you can choose according to ur own nature as it will help in meditation.  So many religion so that you can choose according to your nature and intellect.  If something cannot satisfy your intellect how can you live with it for whole life.

great thinking arinder ji.... absolutely we need to think wat acually relegion is...a path to acheive immorality... rite but the path is not shown as it should be.... your words are so profound.... no relegion is bad at all...infact all say one thing then why there are communal riots happening.... why one cant be independent to understand the relegion as actually it is.... the fight is against those who use relegion against humanity....if we the comman masses undersatnad the actaual meaning of relegion as arinder ji has quoted then there would be no 1984 riots, ram mandir mascarre,(so many more examples ) ever again..... we need to use our own vision to meet into the relegion.... see why we go to school...it help us to organise everything that we need to know and similarly relegion also help us to oraganise ourself to meet the eternal flame....

only reason not to go for inter cast marriage is every clan and cast and religion have some peculiarities and if all go for the inter-cast marriage we will loose those peculiarities.... then all the people will look same there will be no place to visit for culture of state or country... but that will take a lot of time hundreds of years......

ya you are right... but i stand for such cause.... love conquers all.... the need of the hour....
